Award Show Fashion: 2011 TVB Anniversary Awards

This years TVB awards had an interesting array of gowns that were either mesmorizing or vomit inducing. You'll see what I mean...
Linda Chung won my vote for best dressed in this Barney Cheng design worth $131,000 HKD.  I am such a sucker for shiny things ;P I wish I could go back to high school (ala Never Been Kissed) just so I could go to prom again to wear this dress! FAB!
Fala Chen's sequined deep-v dress by Giorgio Armani was also a stunner but in a much more subtle way
TVB Queen, Myolie Wu accepted her award in this custom feathered Black Swan inspired design. Truly a stunning piece that looks better on video, I was surprised she could actually walk in this!
Aimee Chan always keeps it simple but not completely effortless in this lace applique dress
Sire Ma's dress was perfect for her petite body as the repetitive layered stripes gave the illusion of a longer form
Kate Tsui with Bosco Wong (aka Luke Skywalker, who stole some jewels from Princess Leia) Kate brought interest to an otherwise simple look with some major neck bling
Nancy Wu also went for a feathered look but in a white strapless gown. While this look was the top pick for many Hong Kongers, it didn't really strike me as a showstopping gown
Natalie Tong's lilac dress fit her like a glove but I'm not a total fan of the tulle at the bottom as it seems all over the place
I really like Selina Li's Grecian inspired gown with a daring leg slit, perfect amount of sexy and sparkle
Sharon Chan has gotten kind of... oh what's the word? Whorish. Sorry girl I know you want to show off your mile long legs, but I'm not interested in seeing your cooch everytime. Thanks.
Introducing.... Liza Wang, Beekeeper. Do I really have to explain why this is in this category? Ok I will. First of all it's an award show so you shouldn't really show up looking like your foil wrap from the spa wouldn't come off. And a hood? Really? Am I shaking my head? Absolutely.
Katy Kung looks like one of those kids from Toddlers and Tiaras.

Oh My God, Cilla looks like she has an animal stuck in her armpits -__- help them, they're trapped!

Who's your pick for best and worst dressed? Let me know in the comments below!!

Fashion at HK TVB's 45th Anniversary

The ladies of TVB really brought out their best poses and 'chok' (the act of looking cool and sexy on purpose) looks for the Anniversary party this year.

Myolie Wu won my vote for best dressed of the night in this white dress featuring a plunging neckline. Paired with the right amount of bling and a bright red lip, Myolie was ready to party.
The gorgeous Fala Chen showed up in a back revealing Roberto Cavalli gown. The poor girl is currently suffering from facial paralysis right when her career is taking off :( I really hope she recovers.
Kate Tsui did not pick a good dress, it wasn't figure flattering and looked like a crinkled mess, she did however pick a great piece of arm candy with Raymond Lam ;)
Natalie Tong's peach dress was sweet in color and sexy in slit, sadly she didn't put as much effort into her hairstyle
Janet Chow looked effortlessly like a princess in this jewel encrusted strapless dress and diamonds dripping off her ears and neck
The couple to talk about: Moses Chan and Aimee Chan appeared together in matching black outfits
Dodo Cheng opted to cover her shoulders this year with a shiny printed caplet over this simple red dress
Jess Sum shows off her sponsored jewels in this deep red dress with a sweetheart neckline
Nancy Wu was another TVB 'fa dan" who decided that white would compliment her gorgeous diamond necklace
Samantha Ko went with a more reserved dress this time around to keep the focus on her million dollar jewels
Sharon Chan wasn't afraid to show a little leg (and apparently some undergarment) in this high slit
Tavia Yeung's outfit and little hat really disappointed me this time around, the dress was unflattering and aged her a little
Vivien Yeo went a different route from everyone else and opted for a taupe colored v-neck gown
TV host Astrid Chan showed up to the red carpet in a bright fuchsia dress, it looked a bit prom to me, maybe because my prom dress was the same color....

I would literally freak out if I got to wear over a million dollars worth of jewels..and be super paranoid that I would lose them!

Which dress caught your eye?

Fashion at TVB 2012 Sales Presentation

Last night Hong Kong's #1 television network TVB held their annual sales presentation previewing trailers for their 2012 dramas.  The networks stars all glammed up for the event and the leading ladies aka 'fa dans' battled it out for the sexiest cleave of the night. Who do you think won the battle of the deep-v?
Fala Chen, in my opinion looked the best without being too revealing in this gray  leopard printed dress
Myolie Wu's dress was great on top but tragic on the bottom; the fringe ruined it for me but she still looked great in it
Tracy Ip may not be getting major roles but she sure was trying to get there with her deep-v floral applique dress
Aimee Chan is always a fan of darker colors so it was no surprise she chose a metallic gunmetal dress, unfortunately the ruching in the middle is created a 'baby bump' looking situation
Samantha Ko says her stylist chose this blue tiered satin dress for her because it matches her 'personality,' yea I'm sure that's exactly why he picked that out for you...
Sharon Chan shows some leg in this high slit purple dress, also looks like homegirl got some sponsored jewelry on; blingin'!
Olympian turned actress Liu Xuan was the only girl not willing to show any skin (you go girl!) and kept it simple with a black ensemble and fitted blazer

Tavia Yeung shimmered in this silver gray dress
Katy Kung looked a bit uncomfortable posing with her rumored beau, or maybe it was just her dress being too short..
Vivien Yeo, unlike the other starletts, kept the deep-v for her back in this old hollywood style white dress
Koni Liu's Egyptian inspired gown was simple but figure flattering
Linda Chung is Hong Kong's sweetheart, always the nice girl next door, she chose a blue pastel dress that elongated her already mile high legs
JJ Jia is usually a major competitor in the battle of the sexiest but she was quite subdued in this pink tiered strapless dress
Nancy Wu's bubblegum pink dress may have been eyecatching but for the wrong reasons
I think Kate Tsui looked a bit matronly and Christmas-y in this dark green velvet dress with a scoopneck and bow accent. Sidenote: I'm really liking all the blazers she wears in Forensic Heroes 3! ;P

Award Show Fashion: TVB Anniversary Awards 2010

It's a pic heavy post today as I dish out the best and worst dressed at the 43rd Hong Kong TVB Anniversary Awards! There is a whole lotta black!

Best actress Sheren Tang and Best Actor Wayne Lai won for the series No Regrets (click here for my Drama Fashion post on this show)
Sheren oozed old Hollywood glamour in this all black gown and curled hair.
Fan favorite Charmaine Sheh looked ravishing in this black lace gown
Selina Li and Elaine Yiu both shined in gorgeous purple hues and plenty of bling
Samantha Ko stole the spotlight in this bright red Chinese style embroidered gown, while Michael Tse opted for a cute nerdy look
Nancy Wu paired her feminine black embellished and lace dress with strappy platform shoes and Joel Chan added some color with his bright pink loafers
Fala Chen stayed neutral with this gray one shoulder frock
Ron Ng and Tavia Yeung didn't lack any flair in this bright body hugging gown
Aimee Chan always plays it safe in yet another all black dress and leather gloves (which would've been even more fab if she had long ones like Sheren)
DoDo Cheng hosted the show in this pale pink number
Pierre Ngo and Kara Hui looking regal in this coral gown
Kate Tsui in a black gown featuring a large white ruffled rosette while Kenneth Ma looked absolutely charming in his suit
Lee Si Kay in what looks like a purple nightgown and Susanna Kwan stealing her spotlight in a perfectly fitted cream and black dress
Steven Ma and Linda Chung in a flamenco style fuschia dress with cascading ruffles, I like the color but I don't like the flowers on the shoulder
Best supporting actor Mac Bao and Mei Yi Kong in an assymetrical accordian dress that could've been played up even more with sparklier jewelry
Natalie Tong, Kenny Wong and Kristal Tin all kept things nice and simple
Former Ms. HK Skye Chan opted for a pastel green dress with a plunging v-neck
Alvina looked like she was working the streets instead of the red carpet in a mini skirt and fur vest and her messy bouffant. Yikes!
Queenie Chu, Derek Kwok and Mimi Lo just knew they had to stand together and accept worst dressed, do I really have to explain why?
Michelle Yim who normally oozes elegance, failed to impress this year in this grey ensemble that can't seem to decide if it wants more embellishments or ruffles.
Toby Leung should not be this happy being the worst dressed of the night :T The avant garde military dress should be nowhere near a glamourous red carpet!
Let's hear it, leave your red carpet fashion comments below! ;)
