Award Show Fashion: 2010 Mnet Asian Music Awards

This year's Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) were held in Macao instead of Korea and my man TaeYang won Best Male Singer award (Solar was the best korean album I've ever listened to!) Damn he's fine and what an amazing performance by TaeYang, TOP and G-Dragon! I'm not good at recognizing some Korean singers so if you know please help me fill in the blanks :T I got them off Korean websites and I can't read Korean :(

TaeYang ~.~ (this one's for you Mara! haha)

Props to her for being the only one to wear some color last night, the perfect dress for the perfect settingMy second favorite dress of the night, the glitter and the deep V cut made the it stand out more
Actress Yoon Eun Hye adorned her simple dress with an embellished belt

The Wonder Girls rocking the sexy military look

Miss A in coordinating leather outfits
iMe wearing bubblegum pink dresses, I think after you turn 18 it is no longer cute to wear bugglegum pink dresses, it is just Halloween slutty =_= but that's just my opinion
Honey Lee looking gorgeous during her performance on a traditional harp
Even Far East Movement made an appearance and performed Like a G6

So Yoo Jin in this season's hottest color
I thought the top looked really cool with random charms such as keys and crosses I didn't like this dress and I don't think she did either, she's walking all over it!
The canary yellow gown is passable but the other two can be tossed

Loving her wedges!

She killed Big Bird to make this dress...it's atrocious
2NE1 were the big winners of the night! Park Bom's black and white printed dress was my fave of the quartet, sexy and feminine2NE1 in costume for their performance
Haven't finished watching the whole show, gonna get back to that now ;)

Raid My Closet Saturday

Happy Saturday! I hope everyone had a happy turkey day (if you're American) and a very successful Black Friday! I didn't get any clothes because the malls were insane but I finally got myself a GPS! I was so sick and tired of getting lost all the time!!! NY highways are not easy to navigate ya know!
I don't like how easily this skirt wrinkles :S but I do love the zippered front!
H&M blouse & belt, Club Monaco skirt, DKNY tights, F21 ring, Mom's vintage belt bangle, Oscar De La Renta Sunglasses

I wanted summer to come back so badly that I wore this in hopes that it would :/
Diane Von Furstenberg jacket, H&M dress & knit hat, NY&Co. belt

Oh, the cream accordion door that I always stand in front of is actually my closet, I might do a post someday on what's inside...when I decide to organize it! haha I'm thinking about getting a nice curtain to replace the tacky accordion door, what color should I get?

Enjoy the rest of weekend Lovelies ;D

H&M loves Asians

Has anyone else noticed that H&M is having an Asian love affair lately? lol So happy one of my favorite brands is recognizing us Asians as a large part of their demographic!

First, there was the street style video which featured everyday people on the streets of Shanghai, China.

Then... Chinese models Sun Fei Fei and Du Juan grace the Fall/Winter '10 H&M ads

And lastly, they follow around Chinese fashion blogger Susie Bubble as she got ready and attended the Lanvin for H&M fashion show.

Thanks H&M for recognizing us Asians as being fashionable and beautiful, your positive recognition of diversity just makes me appreciate the brand even more! ;D

On another note: Fellow Asian blogger Pop Champagne (love her blog!) is hosting an awesome contest giveaway for the flat iron seen below! Come up with a funny caption for the pic on her blog post and enter to win! Go now! Good Luck! :)

Award Show Fashion: 47th Golden Horse Awards

It's time to play Best Dressed/Worst Dressed again, this time with the actors/actresses at Taiwan's 47th Golden Horse Film Awards (their version of the Oscars). Overall, I wasn't very impressed with the selection but I was extremely happy that one of my favorite Taiwanese actors, Ethan Ruan won Best Actor! Congrats!
Best Actor Ethan Ruan looking oh so handsome with his bowtie ;P

Li Bing Bing (previously featured Fashionable Asian) shined in this sparkly blue number

Model and actress Lin Chi Ling in this elegant embellished gown
Hong Kong's best actress Kara Hui looks amazing in this floral gown, very age appropriate and distinctive

Zhang Jing Chu looked adorable in this 1950's Betty Page-esque floral dress
Television host Dee Hsu (Xiao S) always brings the diva attitude and looks fabulous while doing so
Nicholas Tse, this guy is always flier than a G6 ;P He's so badass he's not even wearing a dressshirt ^.^
Xu Fan
Model Lin Ruo Ya
Janine Zhang
Xie Xin Ying
Loving Vivian Hsu's sparkly shoes
Tiffany Hsu (Ethan's girlfriend) in what I like to call the "I just pulled this fabric off the curtain rod and made it myself" dress, it's way too safe and cheap looking :T (I admit I am totally hatin' on her for dating Ethan lol)
Silvia Chang in an Ang Lee and Jackie Chan sandwich
Li Bing Bing in her second dress of the night
Ady An (I thought she was Zhang Ziyi at first)
Gan Wei
Vivian Hsu, the knot adds interest but it looks oversized and unflattering
Lu Li Ping may have won Best Actress but not Best Dressed, the ruffles on the sides are unnecessary
Apparently Li Yi Jie can still fit into children's clothes
Poor Elva Hsiao, this looks like it was made of trashbags or recycled Northface jackets, either way it is very unflattering and messy
Bowie Tseng, it's not always the camera that adds 10 lbs, sometimes the dress can do that too... just saying ladies you gotta try things on before you buy them
Let's agree to disagree, which dress was your favorite/least favorite?

Asian Celeb Inspiration: Fan Bing Bing

Fan Bing Bing (not to be confused with previously featured fashionable Asian Li Bing Bing) is a 29 year old Chinese actress with many talents (she's also a singer) and is truly a fashion icon in China. Bing Bing recently won best actress at the Tokyo International Film Festival and was seen making the rounds at Paris Fashion week this year.

Fan Bing Bing in character for the movie East Wind Rain

in Alberta Ferretti
at the Elle Style Awards in Bottega Venetta

in an Elie Saab gown at the Cannes Film Festival, one of my favorite Bing Bing looks! Gorgeous!

with designer Elie Saab

wearing Louis Vuitton at amfAR's Cinema Against AIDS 2010 benefit gala
with Marc Jacobs at Paris Fashion Week wearing a Louis Vuitton dress

At Bono's Rising Africa charity event

at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival in a dress fit for an empress, this girl knows how to command attention on the red carpet. Some may say she was the worst dressed, but I think this gown is very representative of China and it was definitely very well made.

Is there a dress that doesn't look good on this girl? No wonder all the major designers are throwing their dresses on her...so lucky...
Life and its problems have kept me from blogging on a regular basis but I hope I can get back into the swing of things :) I'm thinking about changing my blog banner, leave me suggestions in the comments section on which fashionable asian I should feature!
Have a great day everyone =)
