My 2NE1 Concert Experience

I'm BACK!!! I know I abandoned ship (aka this blog) the whole summer, truthfully I just wanted to "YOLO" it up this summer.  Yea I'm kind of getting tired of that phrase too but it's just how I decided to make goals for the summer; including discovering new places, going on mini weekend vacations to other states, taking K-pop dance lessons and going to a concert. Speaking of going to a concert, I went to the 2NE1 concert a couple weeks ago in New Jersey and while it was quite dramatic just getting to Jersey for the concert, it all ended up being quite worth it and one of my best summer memories :D

OOTN: Thrifted denim top, H&M Pants and Earrings, Rebecca Minkoff MAC purse, F21 Necklace and Aerosoles sandals (aka I had to sacrifice the heals when we sacrificed the car for the Path train -_-)

My favorite 2NE1 girl would have to be Bommie!  She looks like an Asian Barbie doll with her porcelain skin and perfect ginger curls and also she's a bit ditzy like me (the song finished and everyone was going backstage but she was still dancing on stage until she realized she was the only one on the stage.  She dashed backstage a gave us a big heart sign with her arms! She's so funny, gotta love her!

Check out my Vlog of our K-pop concert adventure on Youtube:

2NE1 is the best! Do you love K-pop?  If so who's your favorite group?
I can't wait to see Big Bang in November!!!!!

Fashionable Asians at the Shanghai Film Festival

I couldn't let June go by without at least one post! Been so busy lately and wishing I could just be a blogger full time :/   Anyways, I was really impressed by the Shanghai Film Festival red carpet and really wanted to share with those who don't follow Asian entertainment news. Let me know in the comments who you think deserves best dressed!

Looks like Yang Mi is ready to walk down the aisle with her boyfriend Harwick Lau rather than the red carpet in this Shiatzy Chen white lace creation with a Peter Pan collar.
Cecilia Cheung opted for a rather unshaply white one shouldered dress
I've seen Josie Ho in stranger outfits, so I was pleasantly surprised to see her in this simple strapless dress paired with red shoes and studded heart shaped clutch.
Lan Qin accessorized her Lanvin dress with an eagle adorned belt and simple black clutch
Song Jia sparkled her way down the red carpet in this pale pink and silver dress
Lin Chiling showed off her model perfect legs in this embellished yellow number
the girls from Twins also made an appearance, Gillian Chung accessorized her plain blue dress with a choker necklace and bow adorned platform heels while Charlene Choi stayed youthful in a white Versace dress
Kitty Zhang wasn't afraid to bare some leg in this knotted Lanvin dress
Vicki Zhao directs the attention away from the fact that she hasn't lost all the baby weight yet in this voluminous red Dolce and Gabbana dress
Korean star Han Chae Young's ruched fuschia gown
Joey Yung rocked her red Botega Veneta gown, just wished she didn't get that bowl haircut to go with it
Huo Si Yan's deep-v green velvet Gucci dress was one of my favorite dresses of the festival, eyecatching and different from the usual and perfect with gold accessories
Yao Xing Tong looked like she was in the running for prom queen in this tiffany blue tiered ruffle gown
Li Bing Bing kept it classy in all black Gucci

Fashionable Asians at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival

For the two past weeks I have been following the news and image feeds for all the celebs that attended the Cannes Film Festival and lucky for us Cannes regular Fan Bing Bing (who never fails to impress on international red carpets) brought her A-Game (aka her incredible style) to the festival.
There is never a Cannes event where Fan Bing Bing doesn't wear something from her designer friend Elie Saab.  Here she is in a Elie Saab Spring 2012 Couture dress with a matching cape
The Mother of Fashion Reinvention, channeled her inner dynasty goddess by showing up in an embroidered Christopher Bu gown
Frieda Pinto failed to impress in this bubblegum pink Atelier Versace featuring a poofy peplum and embellished bodice
Freida's second Atelier Versace dress managed to gain more attention with its bright chartreuse color and futuristic cut
Former LOST star Kim Yun Jin glowed in this beaded strapless Zuhair Murad dress
Not to be outdone by the other Bing Bing - Li Bing Bing had her very own princess moment in this yellow chiffon gown
This black strapless dress was my favorite of all three of Bing Bing's Cannes looks
For her 3rd red carpet appearance, Bing Bing went with a darker look in this forest green Gucci dress. Bing Bing finished this look with a dark red lipcolor and slicked back hair
Victoria's Secret model Liu Wen graced the red carpet in this deep-v Roberto Cavalli dress
TiangJia Chen silver phoenix dress was kind of epic with the fringed wings and tail, no accessories necessary, just let the dress do all the talking.. or flying in this case
Yang Mi opted for this canary yellow Elie Saab and a Bally Palace clutch, not her best look as it was shapeless and you guys know how I feel about yellows wearing yellow (it doesn't look good on us)
For her second Cannes outfit Yang Mi channeled her inner Audrey with the blunt bangs and black dress
Zhou Xun is the ultimate Chanel ambassador as she shows up in yet another Chanel dress.

Fashionable Asians at the 2012 Met Gala

Last night was the 2012 Met Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.  Major celebrities and models joined fashion designers in their red carpet best and lucky for us we got to see a couple of well known Asians there as well! Check 'em out!
Chinese model Liu Wen in Michael Kors was by far my favorite look at the Met Gala.  The sparkly red dress contrasted nicely against her skin and the fit was just made for her.
Vera Wang in none other than Vera Wang, the dress looks great, just wish her arms did too..
Vera Wang and Wendy Deng Murdoch who was also wearing Vera Wang, looked the best I've ever seen her at a red carpet event. Asian women know how to work those red gowns, why else do you think Chinese wedding dresses are red? Cause we look Ah-mazing in them!
Alexa Chung wore Marc Jacobs, not my favorite look since she didn't pair the leather and floral dress with the matching floral blouse that was shown on the runway.
Chanel Iman in Tom Ford, she's only a quarter Asian but I still like to include her cause she looked quite fab last night in this sheer black and white dress.
The Talk host Julie Chen made an appearance in this shiny gray v-neck frock.

Award Show Fashion: 48th Baeksang Arts Awards

Finally a Korean red carpet that isn't littered in black dresses! Well there were still some, but there was lot a more color this time around.  Let's take a moment to oogle at some fashionable Korean actresses...
Kang So Ra left her awkward Dream High 2 character behind and showed up in this sexy blue leopard printed Salvatore Ferragamo dress
Hong Soo Ah's floral dress was perfect for the season, though I wished she had put a little more effort into her hair
Han Hyoju flesh toned dress was jazzed up with some silver accents but they didn't help to accentuate her body at all
There is always someone who wears lace to a red carpet event and this time it was Hye-eun Kim in this maxi black lace dress with sleeves
Kim Min Hee's white lace embroidered dress does nothing for her figure
Kim Ah Joong stunned in this black Stella McCartney dress with a gold metal belt
Kong Hyo Jin made me yawn with the amount of effort she put into this look
Lim Soo Hyang's safe and simple strapless dress could've been played up more with bright accessories
Park Shin Hye was the only lady in red at this awards show and she stood out fabulously accessorizing with a white clutch
Suzy knows how to dress her age  in this sweet cream dress with a bubble skirt; unlike most Hollywood actresses who all can't wait to grow up
This outfit reminded me of a baby nun for some reason...
Uhm Jung Hwa played up her open neckline with a large gold statement piece, but with such an overwhelming piece she could've left the dangling earrings for another time
Yoo In Na voluminous navy blue tulle dress didn't manage to swallow her up completely
Afterschool's UEE kept her look sweet and youthful in this white embroidered and ruffle dress

Um, so are there a lack of hairstylists in S. Korea or something?
