Fashionable Asians at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival

For the two past weeks I have been following the news and image feeds for all the celebs that attended the Cannes Film Festival and lucky for us Cannes regular Fan Bing Bing (who never fails to impress on international red carpets) brought her A-Game (aka her incredible style) to the festival.
There is never a Cannes event where Fan Bing Bing doesn't wear something from her designer friend Elie Saab.  Here she is in a Elie Saab Spring 2012 Couture dress with a matching cape
The Mother of Fashion Reinvention, channeled her inner dynasty goddess by showing up in an embroidered Christopher Bu gown
Frieda Pinto failed to impress in this bubblegum pink Atelier Versace featuring a poofy peplum and embellished bodice
Freida's second Atelier Versace dress managed to gain more attention with its bright chartreuse color and futuristic cut
Former LOST star Kim Yun Jin glowed in this beaded strapless Zuhair Murad dress
Not to be outdone by the other Bing Bing - Li Bing Bing had her very own princess moment in this yellow chiffon gown
This black strapless dress was my favorite of all three of Bing Bing's Cannes looks
For her 3rd red carpet appearance, Bing Bing went with a darker look in this forest green Gucci dress. Bing Bing finished this look with a dark red lipcolor and slicked back hair
Victoria's Secret model Liu Wen graced the red carpet in this deep-v Roberto Cavalli dress
TiangJia Chen silver phoenix dress was kind of epic with the fringed wings and tail, no accessories necessary, just let the dress do all the talking.. or flying in this case
Yang Mi opted for this canary yellow Elie Saab and a Bally Palace clutch, not her best look as it was shapeless and you guys know how I feel about yellows wearing yellow (it doesn't look good on us)
For her second Cannes outfit Yang Mi channeled her inner Audrey with the blunt bangs and black dress
Zhou Xun is the ultimate Chanel ambassador as she shows up in yet another Chanel dress.

Fashion at the 2012 Beijing International Film Festival

I love that Chinese celebrities aren't afraid to take risks and opt for dresses of all colors, textures and brands. Here are some notable looks from this years' Beijing International Film Festival. And as always this Fashionable Asian tops my list of faves...

Fan Bing Bing wowed in Tadashi Shoji [Asian Designer Alert!] as she matched her bright red lip to her dress and continued her Asian themed outfit with a Judith Lieber Pagoda purse and jade earrings - She could totally pass for a vampire queen with this look.

Angelababy wore the exact same Barney Cheng dress Linda Chung wore to the TVB awards back in November. Still a beautiful dress but Baby looks like she's really forcing her cleavage by wearing a smaller bra size, it just makes her shoulders look even bonier. No Thinspo!

Zhang Ziyi not in Dior but Alessandra Rich, a bit more casual than I'm used to seeing Ziyi on the red carpet but it works for her

Annie Shizuka walks the red carpet in a dress from LanYu's 2012 collection, a cream dress of chiffon and lace mix
Huang Yi's kept her accessories to a minimum to let her voluminous layered tulle dress make a grander statement
Huo Si Yan poses in a floral Dolce and Gabbana, I find the print to be borderline matronly but SiYan manages to pull it off quite nicely.
Monica Mok had her very own J.Lo v-neck moment in this cobalt blue oriental inspired dress.
Yao Chen wore this ruby red Vionnet dress and accessorized with a silver clutch and minimal jewelry.
Liu Yi Fei sparkled in this pink strapless embroidered dress paired with the perfect amount of jewelry.
There's always someone at every red carpet event who shows up almost nude (a.n.) and this times a.n. is Yvonne Yung in this sheer black beaded dress. Confidence, the only accessory she needs. Work it girl!
Zhang Jing Chu's bow is almost big enough to whack someone in the face, but it added interest to the dress, just wish she had left her neck bare so it wasn't competing with each other.
Zhang Xin Yi looked svelte in a halter color blocking Salvatore Ferragamo dress
The always youthful Zhou Dong Yu paired a sweet collared lace top with a Carven skirt.

Which dress caught your attention? Let me know below!

Fashionable Asians in Versace for H&M

Who's excited for the Versace for H&M collection to hit stores this weekend? Celebrities from all over the world have already been seen in the affordable designer dresses and I have compiled a collection of Asian celebrities wearing the best of Versace for H&M.
Fan Bing Bing in my favorite dress from the collection. It just has an Oriental flair to it with the fans and florals. Some people disliked the green tights but I think it makes the look stand out more.
Lee Fei Er in the same dress as Bing Bing sans the tights and wig but added a large statement choker necklace
Actress Fann Wong was one of the first Asian celebs to don a dress from the limited edition collab, she showed up to an event last month in the studded faux leather dress
Huang Yi attended the Elle Style Awards in the studded pleather jacket and shiny graphic dress
Wonder Girls' Hye Lim performed with her group in this glittering piece from the collection
Su Yan models the fringe loving printed hearts dress
Afterschool's Uee appeared in Vogue Korea wearing most of the Versace for H&M collection.

Looking at the price points, I can only afford to buy the accessories if I still want to buy groceries for the month -_- My love for fashion can get so expensive sometimes.  The collection may be considered affordable to girls who only eat salads for all three meals, but not for a food loving gal like me! But I'm still excited to check out the collection in person this Saturday.
Do you guys think this collection is worth lining up for?

Fashionable Asians at the Airport

The airport isn't usually known for spotting great fashion. While us 'regular' people opt for comfort in hoodies and sweatpants, celebs always have to put a little more effort into their looks because they never know who will greet them at the airport. One accessory that is an absolute must for all celebs at the airport: Sunglasses (if it's not being used for going incognito then it can be used for eye protection from the camera flashes!)
This post comes at the perfect time as I head on my very own vacation. And surprisingly, I am not going to Asia (even though I've been wanting to go for yrs!) Let you know where I went when I come back :)

Sammi Cheng posed for the cameras after coming home from her vacation with boyfriend Andy Hui. I loved her tribal print purse and sleek blue blazer!
Cecilia Cheung, poor girl is in the middle of a nasty divorce scandal so I don't blame her for trying to block everyone out with her headphones and sunglasses. The girl still manages to pull a great outfit together though!
Li Bing Bing hopped off a plane looking this fresh, how does she do it?!
Kitty Zhang apparently didn't have a problem getting on the plane with her skirt length, but if she was on an American flight she would've had a problem..

Kelly Chen is so sophisticated
Gianna Jun's got great style even off the red carpet! Loving her look here in a striped blue blazer over a simple white tee
Fan Bing Bing looking frumpy hoping people won't recognize her but if you're wearing sunglasses indoors you are most likely a celeb so in a way it's not the best disguise..
Kim Hye Soo tries to mix casual and dressy as she walks towards airport security. I wonder if they have to take their shoes off in Korea, cause hers look kinda lethal!
Zhang Ziyi was all dressed up and ready for her closeup when she hopped off the plane
Yao Chen Su keeps it casual, the way a jet setter should look!

Girl's Generation/SNSD ladies sure know how to travel in style! Reasons why I'm a huge fan of Korean fashion:
Yuri Tiffany Sunny and Yoona Soo Young
Seo Hyun
Hyo Yeon's casual look with a stripped top and long stretchy skinnies is closest to my travel style. Airplanes are cold so I definitely like to keep my legs covered.
I am in love with Kim Tae Yeon's purple purse! OMG someone find out who it's by! I want!!!

What do you wear when you're jetsetting? Let me know in the comments below!
